Last updated: September 26, 2026
This policy explains how Blue Ribbon Painters handles personal information collected through blueribbonpainters.com and inquiries submitted on this website.
Information we collect
Our estimate form collects your name, email address and painting service or inquiry topic. ZIP code, phone number and your call or text preference are optional. Information you provide in follow-up conversations may include project details and a service address. Please do not submit payment card information, identification documents or other sensitive information through website forms.
The website and its hosting, security and form tools may also process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages requested, submission time and error or security logs. This information helps deliver the site, record inquiries and prevent abuse.
How we use your information
We use inquiry information to respond to you, discuss your project, prepare an estimate, coordinate requested services and maintain related business records. We use technical information to operate, troubleshoot and protect the website. Providing a phone number and agreeing to calls or texts is optional; it is not required to request an estimate. The call/text checkbox concerns your project inquiry, not enrollment in a marketing subscription.
Storage and service providers
Website form submissions are stored in our WordPress website for review by authorized site administrators. Website hosting, maintenance, security and backup providers may process information as needed to support these services. If we communicate with you by email or phone, the relevant communication providers also process that communication. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights and the security of the site.
Cookies and external services
Cookies and similar browser storage support website operation, security, administrator login and saved privacy preferences. Use the cookie preferences button on the website to review or change available choices. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser; doing so may affect some functions.
The website currently loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google to retrieve these resources, which can disclose technical information such as your IP address and requested resource. See Google’s Privacy Policy. Links to external websites are governed by those websites’ own policies.
Comments and administrator accounts
If you leave a comment where comments are enabled, WordPress collects the information in the comment form, your IP address and browser information. Approved comments and their author names are public. A hash of your email address may be sent to Gravatar to display a profile image; see Automattic’s Privacy Policy. Comment information may remain stored until removed. Administrator account details and login cookies are used to manage and secure this website.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to handle your inquiry, provide requested services, maintain necessary business records and meet applicable legal or security obligations. Retention depends on the type and purpose of the record; copies may remain in backups until those backups are replaced. We use access controls and other safeguards, but no website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and privacy requests
You may ask about the personal information associated with your inquiry, request a correction or deletion, or withdraw your preference for project-related calls or texts. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting or security reasons. Your rights also depend on applicable law.
To start a privacy request, use our website contact form and select “Privacy or accessibility question.” A painting project is not required. Provide a name and email address so we can follow up; do not include sensitive information. Requests are saved for our team to review.
Children and policy updates
This website is intended for people seeking painting services and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us to request review and removal. We may update this policy as website features or practices change. The date above identifies the most recent update.
